Welcome to 'Look
Beyond The Heart' - A meeting place for transplant patients, family and
friends to talk about transplantation and to share with the world their stories.

Well in some way or another in life we are faced with challenges. Whether the challenges are hard or easy we still have to deal with them and I
guess that what makes each of us stronger.
I myself was faced with a challenge in my life and yes it has be hard but it
made me stronger and also it is one of the reason why I set this website up.
|
As you all know I was blessed with the Gift of Life which was a Heart and Lung
Transplant in 1989 I was only 13 years old when I had my Transplant and to me as
a child it was an adventure and a challenge and it was the end to all my
problems in life well so I thought.
But little did I know I still had a lot more to learn about the aftercare to my
Transplant and having to deal with the up and downs. The aim of this website is for people who have had all kind of Transplants who
are finding it hard to deal with issues to do with the aftercare to their
Transplant and just need a friend who is there to listen to and to have the same
kind of understanding towards each other.
I found after my Transplant everything was great at the beginning but then when
thing started to go wrong I was like how could this be happening and why is this
happing.
I thought that having a Transplant was the end to all my problems but how wrong
I was I really didn’t understand I need to work at get better and I found that
hard to deal with and there were other things to that were also hard to deal
with and I feel it may of helped if I had a little bit of support from
likeminded people.
So I hope that more of us can come together and support and understand each
other in time of need I would like to welcome each and every one of you here and
hope that you find look beyond the heart helpful.
